The mission of each of the bargaining committees is to bargain the best possible collective agreement for their unit. ASSEP’s three accreditation units are currently in bargaining for the renewal of collective agreements.

Lecturers

The new Lecturers’ Collective Agreement is in effect since April 7, 2022 and will be in effect until August 31, 2024.

A new bargaining committee was formed at the Annual General Assembly on April 20, 2023. This will enable the team to begin work on the negotiating mandate.

The de facto members of the bargaining committee for this unit are:

  • Responsible for the unit’s labor relations
  • Responsible for the coordination
  • Elected to the committee are:
  • Akila Hidouche, Moulay Vincent Huard et Mohamed Ousmoï

The committee is also supported by a professional negotiator from the PSAC regional office.

Teaching assistants

The new Teaching assistants’ Collective Agreement is in effect since June 20, 2022 and will be in effect until August 31, 2025.

The bargaining committee has been dissolved and a new committee will be elected at the next renewal.

The de facto members of the bargaining committee for this unit are:

  • Responsible for the unit’s labor relations
  • Responsible for the coordination

The committee is also supported by a professional negotiator from the PSAC regional office.

Postdoctoral Fellows

The new Postdoctoral Fellows’ Collective Agreement is in effect since June 20, 2022 and will be in effect until August 31, 2025.

The bargaining committee has been dissolved and a new committee will be elected at the next renewal.

  • Responsible for the coordination

The committee is also supported by a professional negotiator from the PSAC regional office.
