At Polytechnique, most courses are taught by lecturers! They can be in a variety of situations:

Working in industry
*Professors and masters of education are not members of the unit; they have their own collective agreement (APEP).
Negotiations
Your negotiating committee was elected in April 2023.
At the ratification assembly on July 4, members voted 95% in favor of the agreement in principle. The new collective agreement will be signed in September. Salaries were increased on May 1, 2025, and Polytechnique will pay the salary adjustment retroactively.

Ongoing grievances and recent agreements
Available course loads are posted on the Polytechnique Montréal website at the following address: www.polymtl.ca/carriere/offres-demploi

If you are studying at Polytechnique (master’s, doctorate), you may also be able to obtain a course load directly from your research supervisor using the reserve clause mechanism. Contact your supervisor to find out more about the loads they can offer you!
Autumn term
Beginning no later than May 15 and ending no earlier than May 30
Winter term
Beginning no later than October 15 and ending no earlier than October 30
Summer term
Beginning no later than March 15 and ending no earlier than March 30
After these deadlines, for each term, all course loads or portions of course loads that have not already been posted are posted by the departments for a period of two (2) days.

Please note that two grievances have been filed regarding the non-conformity of the scoring on the September 2022 list, and this also applies to subsequent lists.

There are several grievances underway challenging the application and interpretation of the collective agreement regarding the scoring list, and we are in the arbitration process.
