Posted in: Unclassified | 0

You are invited to a special general assembly of the unit of lecturers. It will take place on Saturday, April 9th, 2022 at 10 a.m., as requested, on Zoom. You must be a lecturer and a member in good standing of the union to be eligible to attend as a participant, i.e. have had at least one paycheck in the last 12 months, and have joined the union.

We will proceed by Zoom. You have until 8 a.m. on April 9th to register via the following link, but we encourage you to do so in advance. The link to log in to the meeting will be sent to the personal email you provided, between 8:00 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. on April 9th. As in previous GA, registering in advance makes it possible to check that the participants are all lecturers who are members in good standing.

This meeting follows a request submitted by members, under article 15.3 of the ASSEP constitution. The request includes the following subject:

Mandate the executive committee of ASSEP to send a letter of agreement on the following subject:
modify article 12.10b of the new collective agreement by removing the statement « If a candidate has a course score greater than half of the sum of the course points of all the candidates, he can take two charges in the first round. »

Agenda

  1. Opening of the assembly
  2. Presidium
  3. Mandate the ASSEP executive committee to transmit a letter of agreement on the following subject : modify article 12.10b of the new collective agreement by removing the statement “If a candidate has course points greater than half of the sum of the course points of all the candidates, he can take two charges at the first round. »
  4. Closing of the assembly

Explanations

The request proposes to mandate the executive to send a request to the employer in order to modify article 12.10 b) of the new collective agreement, which should be signed during the week. This modification, if the mandate is adopted and the letter of agreement is ratified, would have the effect of withdrawing the right to a lecturer, who has a course score greater than half of the sum of the course points of all the candidates, he can take two charges in the first round.

Once the vote has been duly taken, the question will be deemed to have been debated, regardless of the outcome. Any new request to redo the vote on this question will then be considered inadmissible. The executive council will act according to the decision taken in the general assembly.

So your presence to this GA and your vote are importants !
